Product Description Imagine a sculpture that doubles as a valuable business tool. That describes the Samsung 2333SW 23" widescreen LCD monitor perfectly. Its soft curves, rich piano black finish and clear acrylic accent bar lend distinctive style and sophistication to your desk. Its clean look extends even to the back, with an integrated housing that hides all your cables. And when you turn it on, the 2233SW more than lives up to expectations. The 16:9 aspect ratio provides more room for multitasking. 1920 x 1080 full HD resolution gives you the highest resolution possible. The 5ms response time and 20,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio mean razor-sharp, detailed motion video. Exclusive Samsung technologies give you rich color with natural skin tones. With Aspect Ratio Control, the 2333SW won't stretch 4:3 content to fill the widescreen. Whether you're viewing 5:4 or 4:3 content, it will always be distortion free. The 2333SW also offers you a Custom Key, for quick, one-touch access to the Samsung picture optimization function you use the most. And an energy-saving Power Consumption Control lets you set your 2333SW to turn off automatically at a specific time. Beauty inside and out. With the Samsung 2333SW, it's not hard to imagine.

Nice monitor, great colors and clarity February 16, 2009 xeno 43 out of 44 found this review helpful
I am really happy with the purchase of this monitor. I haven't seen too many reviews on it, so I was bit skeptical at first when purchasing it. It is the perfect size, 5ms response time, HDCP compliant, 16:9, and has a 20000:1 contrast ratio. One of the things about monitors in this size is the 16:9 viewing ratio - Some are not, and if you are interested in watching HDTV on your monitor then you'll have black bars at the top and bottom of the screen, which I personally don't like. Pairs well with a Blu-ray player and HDCP compliant video card. I'm using it for all sorts of tasks - video and picture editing, blu-ray movies, internet, etc. I'm not a gamer so I can't comment on that end of it. All in all, a great value for the size and quality.
One note on the stand assembly: Use a bit of olive oil and place it around the rubber ring on the inside of the stand insert. This helps the stand slide into place much more easily, and will not hurt the monitor as long as you use the olive oil sparingly.
samsung does it again May 6, 2009 Peter Moreno (seattle, wa) 20 out of 20 found this review helpful
well no surprises here that samsung has made a fantastic hd monitor that not only looks great, but has plenty of options and settings to change, which will suit just about anyone who uses it. while setting up the monitor it reminded of my samsung lcd tv because it gave auto adjusts to not only clarity, but to size and color, or custom to your liking. its very crisp and hard to find any reason i would not like it. i have it sitting on my desk (which is glass) and looks great, however when im typing fast the monitor does tend to wobble just a tad, but i would blame my desk more than i would the monitor (but something to be aware of). the blue light under the samsung name gives it even more of a modern and rich look. watching "hd" on youtube has given me an entirely new experience, as well as watching widescreen dvd's, and netflix! i would definatly buy this product again, i found it on sale for only 169 so that was a serious bargain! register it on samsung.com to extend your warrenty, and the only other thing i would say is find yourself some new wallpaper for your desktop. all of my old wallpapers were meant for regular monitors so they looked a little stretched out on this monitor. help yourself to google images, search 'hd wallpaper' and there are plenty of 1080p pics to choose from that will make your jaw drop once you see them on your new monitor!
Best monitor I've ever owned. August 14, 2009 D. Hoelck (Chico, CA USA) 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
I bought this on impulse because it was on sale. I'd wanted a dual monitor setup in my home office for a while, and since my existing monitor was a 22.5" Samsung 2253LW, I thought this would be a good second monitor.
I was totally wrong.
The 2253LW, which I've been using since early 2008, is an excellent monitor. The color and value ranges are very, very smooth, the blacks are dark, and it's large enough to work comfortably on. I'm a graphic designer, so the monitor is one of my most important pieces of hardware, and the 2253LW definitely measured up.
So why was buying the 2333SW such a bad idea?
Because the 2333SW is a work of art. I knew that the new screen would be larger, but they're actually the same height (the original might even be a little taller, the new 2333 is just wider). The problem is that as great as the 2253LW is, the 2333SW is sooooo much better. I had no idea that white could be so much whiter, colors could be so much crisper, and the picture could be so much clearer.
So now I've got to get rid of the old monitor and buy another 2333SW to replace it. Thanks for nothing, Samsung.
Best LCD Computer Monitor I have owned! July 1, 2009 Mike L. (Omaha, NE) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I bought this monitor to replace a 19" Viewsonic monitor I got a few years ago and it was a huge upgrade! The picture on this monitor is so amazing, you actually feel like you are looking out a window! I found a few sites online that offer 1080p wallpapers and they are definately worth checking out on this monitor.
There is a bit of backlight bleed but you really only see it when the monitor is completely black and all of the lights are off in the room. I also would have liked to see this monitor have an HDMI slot but those my only two "cons" to this monitor.
The color is vivid and games look great. I don't see any artifacts or blurring when there is a lot of action on the screen. My monitor didn't have any dead or stuck pixles and the stand was very easy to attach.
If you are looking for a high quality, HD computer monitor, this should be at the top of your list!
Wonderful product May 27, 2009 CLynn (Idaho) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
After winding up with quite a few bad apples in recent electronic and furniture purchases, when shopping for a new monitor I spent ages reading reviews and looking at products. I was determined to buy a much more expensive (and smaller) HP monitor. Then, I found this...
The picture quality is terrific! For the price, I'm truly surprised at the quality. I just hope this monitor is reliable over time.
We did have a bit of trouble placing the monitor inside it's base as others have noted. However, the only lubricant we needed was good old fashioned elbow grease. And to be honest, after having one monitor that wiggled it's way out of it's base previously and fell off the desk...knowing this one is a tight fit is reassuring.
I myself bought this monitor for my graphics and game design computer, and it took me .2 seconds to adjust the colors and gamma to perfection. The controls are really easy to use.
A few things to keep in mind that I have noticed. This monitor does wobble a bit, but if you have a pull out keyboard tray on your desk the wobble disappears. Also, if you have animals you'll be thanking Samsung daily for including the cleaning cloth. The finish attracts every piece of hair and dust in the general area.
